Fresh off an electrifying performance at Reggae Land UK, internationally-acclaimed dancehall artist Kranium on Friday, Aug. 7, officially announced his highly anticipated New York City headline concert at Sony Hall on Oct. 15, 2026.
“Widely recognized as one of dancehall’s most distinctive voices, Kranium returns to the city he proudly calls home for an intimate performance celebrating a career that has consistently bridged dancehall, reggae and R&B while earning a devoted global fanbase,” Ronnie Tomlinson, a Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-based entertainment publicist, told Caribbean Life.
She said the announcement follows the release of Kranium’s latest EP, “A Slight Delay,” which “showcases Kranium’s continued artistic evolution while staying true to the melodic sound that has made him one of Jamaica’s most recognizable contemporary artists.”
Earlier this year, Tomlinson, the CEO of New York-based Destine Media, Inc., said Kranium also embarked on his “’A Slight Delay Tour,’ bringing the new music directly to fans across multiple markets.”
Since bursting onto the international scene with the Platinum-certified anthem “Nobody Has to Know,” Tomlinson said Kranium has continued to build “an impressive catalog of global hits.”
She said Kranium’s breakout single has earned multi-Platinum and Gold certifications across several territories, including Platinum in the United States and Canada, multi-Platinum in the United Kingdom, and Gold certification in New Zealand.
Tomlinson said Kranium has also earned additional certifications for fan favorites, including “Gal Policy” and “We Can.”
She said Kranium, known affectionately as “The Melody Gad,” has collaborated with some of music’s biggest names while maintaining “a sound uniquely his own.
“His effortless ability to blend dancehall authenticity with contemporary influences has positioned him as one of the genre’s most influential voices over the past decade,” Tomlinson said.
Kranium said: “New York has always been home for me. Every time I perform here, the energy is different because these are the people who have been supporting me from the beginning.
